It’s always an honour to be invited to photograph the baptism of a wedding client’s first child. Today we ventured out towards the green hills of the Troodos Mountain range to celebrate in one of the most sublime countryside locations on the island.

Casale Panayiotis is set in the picturesque village of Kalopanayiotis, recently renovated and reborn as a must-visit mountainside retreat and spa town. The ceremony itself was carried out in Agios Ioannis, the village church, itself a byzantine work of art, characterful and pristine.

Few events that I have attended could match the wonderful character that the Spa of Casale Panayiotis offer their guests. Green lawns are flanked on one side by the restored Byzantine traditional buildings that now house the spa complex and restaurant; on the other rises majestically the green flanks of the Troodos mountain range. Alkistis’ event was truly memorable and I am eternally grateful to Marianna and Constantinos for their invitation to join them.
