So many questions, so little time! Let me answer some of the most burning questions that you have and answer some that you might not have thought of! Feel free to contact me with any questions that I may have left out!
What is your style?
I am a documentary event photographer. My curiosity and interest in people, family and relationships gives my imagery a little quirkiness, thoughtfulness and vibrancy. I love the details that are put into the day, the smallest element that hints at your character, through colour, wit or style. I love the tradition of guests buttoning up and looking their smartest for the day or those whose own style shrieks, ‘I am a blue jeans and Converse kind of guy, no tie for me!’ All these elements are stories, as are the portraits I love to take of parents, siblings and grandparents. Each part of the day is a documentary chapter that deserves a place in your album!
Who’s the boss?
I am not the kind of photographer who dictates the day. No, that’s just not me! There are several key moments during the day where I do take the lead however and they are all about portraits. Portraits are always ‘Mantlepiece’ moments so I will use my experience to skillfully tease the best pose out of you and your family for that framed print at home! Other than that my style is to be
Where are you based?
I work out of Nicosia, Cyprus but travel throughout the island and beyond Internationally.
Can we meet?
Yes please! Actually it is the most important part of choosing your photographer for the day. Ensuring that your ideas, and expectations are understood is key to getting the best out of each other during your event and there is no better way to do that than over a coffee! I have a studio in Agioi Omologites, Nicosia. Call me anytime book a meeting!
Do you provide albums?
My most popular event packages include albums. They are drop-dead gorgeous and they are locally made to the highest standards here in Nicosia. The specification and quantity of the albums in your package are completely down to you!
I hate the camera or the camera hates me, can you help?
Of course I can! For you this may well be the first time in front of a camera (though you KNOW your 8 year old niece knows the moves!), so relax. I can provide you with reassurance and little tips to ensure you look your best throughout the day. During family portraits in particular I will encourage guests to stand with elegance, using a few easy directions. Quite often to the derision of Fathers and grandfather alike!
One other way for a wedding couple to get over a fear of the camera is to book a pre-wedding portrait session. During the 4 hours or so we have together I will give you all the necessary guidance on how to carry yourself and be comfortable under the camera’s gaze. These tips you can take with you through the wedding day!
What happens in the event of illness?
To date I have never missed an event, my pride forbids it. However, in the unlikely event that this should happen, I have a network of local photographers of a similar ability that I would provide in my place, under your agreement of course. This is stipulated in our contract.
Do you require a meal on the day?
I would be delighted! Our events are long, energy sapping work outs (when you see me work you will understand!) and a meal would be a more than welcome boost to my energy levels!
Hmm, Copyright?
You receive a copyright release from me allowing you to print and share your photographs. For social media purposes your images will be provided at a low resolution and watermarked on disc and via your online proof album. Full copyright for photographic work remains with the myself as the artist. All this means is that for you to sell, or modify the images you would need my permission.
How many images do we receive?
It really does all depend on the event but a minimum of 500 fully edited images will be provided to you with your album in a bespoke CD box. The electronic proof book, from which you will choose your Album images will quite often include 800-1500 images for a baptism or wedding respectively.
Do you backup your images?
All images taken during an event are backed up and kept in 3 locations. Your images will be safe with me. I would recommend to you that on receipt of your final digital files you take similar precautions, keeping them in the cloud for safe keeping.
How long are you with us?
I don’t like to miss a shot, ever, and oftentimes stay longer than most guests! A baptism will require me for a maximum of 4 hours and a wedding anything up to 13 hours. This will be discussed in our pre -event consultation
Can friends and family order prints?
Yes they can. I shall send you a link and password to your event gallery which you can freely pass around your family and friends. From here they can order prints directly from the studio which will be delivered by mail, usually within 10 working days.
I do special
When do we receive our photographs
